How it works
Accounting services are usually sold with a “starting at” price, while the client wants to know what it will cost them. The template builds the estimate from what drives the workload: how many employees are on payroll, set with a slider; which services they need (payroll and HR administration, bookkeeping, financial consulting or a one-time consultation); the business type, from sole proprietorship to corporation; and the tax status. As a result, the client sees an estimated monthly cost.
The formula in the original template is simple: a base amount, plus a rate for each employee, plus values for the service, business type and tax status. Note that the client types in the number of source documents per month, but it isn't part of the calculation, even though document volume is the main unit of an accountant's workload. Add it to the formula or replace the field with a slider, and the price gets closer to the real one.
The last question, the company's tax ID, is unnecessary at first contact: it's needed for verification, not for the estimate, and some people drop off at that step. It's better to ask for it after the first call. Keep the first-month discount the template promises only if you actually offer it. The price stays preliminary: the scope of work is set once you've looked at the client's books.
With this template you can create an online quiz in LeadForms: change the questions, images and offer for your business in about 10 minutes, no developer needed.
