How it differs from a regular notice
Most cookie banners only announce that cookies exist, while analytics and pixels are already running. This banner holds them until the visitor decides.
Scripts wait for consent
Until the visitor clicks “Accept,” analytics and ads stay off. If they chose analytics only, the pixels never load.
Analytics without code
Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel: enter the ID, and the banner loads them only after consent. TikTok Pixel and other scripts work with the data-lf-consent attribute.
Consent log
Every decision: what the visitor chose, when and on which page. A summary in your dashboard and a CSV export.
Completely free
You pay neither for the banner nor for the consent log. The banner collects no leads and does not use your balance.
What you can customize
The starting point is the simplest banner: a bar at the bottom, one line of text, “Learn more,” “Accept” and “Reject.” Turn on the rest as you need it.
Consent or notice
“Accept” and “Reject” when scripts must wait for a decision. Or a single “Got it” button for a site that only needs to inform.
Bar, card or dialog
A bar at the top or bottom, a card in the left or right corner, or a dialog in the center. Colors and fonts are on the Design tab, like other widgets.
Settings by category
“Necessary” is always on; visitors choose “Analytics,” “Marketing” and “Functional” themselves. Optional categories are off by default.
A way to change their mind
After the choice, a “Cookie settings” icon stays in the corner, and there is a footer link that opens the settings again.
Expiration and asking again
By default, consent is remembered for 12 months and a rejection for 6. Changed the text? Click “Ask everyone again,” and even people who already chose will see the banner.
Tips in the editor
The editor warns you if there is no link to your policy, no “Reject” button, or if it looks paler than “Accept.”
For developers
Your own script, iframe or image can wait for consent to the category you need: just change the markup. It also works with Google Consent Mode v2.
<!-- runs after consent to analytics -->
<script type="text/plain" data-lf-consent="analytics"
data-src="https://example.com/counter.js"></script>
<!-- footer link: open the settings again -->
<a href="#lf-cookie-settings">Cookie settings</a>
// the visitor’s choice from your site script
window.LeadformsConsent.get();
document.addEventListener('lf:consent', function (e) { /* … */ });
Where and to whom to show it
The cookie banner does not wait for triggers: it appears right away and stays on screen until the visitor makes a choice.
Right away, until a choice
No delays, frequency caps or exit-intent display: you need the decision before analytics starts running.
One per page
If you have several banners, the page shows the first one that matches; a second one will not pop up on top.
On the sites and pages you pick
Display can be limited by site, page URL, UTM tags and device type; for example, different texts for two sites.
How to add it to your website
No developer needed. You paste the code once, then turn widgets on and edit them in your LeadForms dashboard. Step-by-step instructions for each platform are in our guides.
Create the widget
Open the Widgets section in your dashboard and pick a type. Text and colors come prefilled with an example, so you only adapt them to your business.
Check the preview
The editor shows the widget on a website mockup and applies changes instantly. The “As on the site” mode lets you check when it will appear.
Paste the code once
One code for all the widgets in your account. If a LeadForms quiz is already on your website, there is nothing to paste: widgets run on the same script. The dashboard checks on its own that the code is in place.
Where it works
On any website where you can paste code, including through Google Tag Manager.
More widgets for your website
All widgets install with the same code. A button in any of them can open your quiz, and you build the quiz in the LeadForms quiz maker.
