What makes a test work
People take it for themselves: they want to know their level, test what they know and see the answers checked. Meanwhile, you learn about them and get their contact.
Answers get checked
The right/wrong format shows on the spot whether the answer is correct. You can add an explanation to each question about why that option is right.
Points add up
Each option has its own weight. The total is calculated automatically, with nothing to count by hand.
The result is shown
Write a different result for each points range: one for beginners and another for people who already know the topic. Along with the result, you get the lead with the answers.
What a test does for your business
A test solves something a regular form is bad at: it gives people a reason to share their contact willingly. The best way to see it is to try it, right there on the right.
People take it on their own
“Test how much you know about home remodeling” is more interesting than “leave us your details.” People send a test to friends and share it; nobody forwards a form.
It shows the gap
People see for themselves what they do not know. After that, offering a consultation feels like the logical next step, not a hard sell.
It segments by level
Points split your audience: beginners get a basic course, advanced people get an intensive one. Your team sees the level before calling.
A test by link in two steps
Tests get shared far more than forms: people send them in chats, post them in Stories and forward them. All you need is a link, no website.
Copy the link
Post it on social media or in your ads
People take the test and see their result
Or add the test to your website
How to set it up
Three steps in the editor, with no code and no third-party tools.
1. Turn on the test format
At the “Questions” step, turn on the test format, and each answer option gets a “correct” checkbox.
2. Assign points
At the “Results” step, the points settings open: each option has its weight, and the test maximum is shown next to it.
3. Write the results
For each result, set a points condition: more than, less than, between two values or exactly. Each level gets its own text, images and offer.
Step-by-step guides with screenshots: right/wrong format, results by points and results by answers.
Who it is for
A test works when a customer has a level, a need or a profile you want to identify before you talk.
Online schools and courses
A language or skill level test is the classic: people find out where they stand, and you offer the program that fits. See quiz templates.
Experts and consultants
A diagnostic test shows where the customer’s weak spot is and leads naturally to a consultation.
Product recommendations
“What is your skin type?” or “Which equipment is right for you?”: the test recommends instead of just showing the catalog.
Hiring
Initial candidate screening: checking basic knowledge before the interview saves recruiters hours.
Clinics and services
A questionnaire to review symptoms or choose a treatment, always with an honest note that it is not a diagnosis but a reason to book an appointment.
Marketing and engagement
A fun “what kind of customer are you” test builds your contact list for less than ads, as long as the reward relates to your product.
What to keep in mind so it works
You can build a test in an afternoon, but a couple of choices decide whether it brings you leads.
Decide when to show the result
Before the form feels friendlier, but some people will leave without sharing a contact. After the form, the contact is guaranteed, but you have to keep the promise: there must be a real result there, not a “we will call you.”
Do not turn it into an exam
The guideline is the same as for a quiz: 4 to 6 questions. Only a handful of people finish a 20-question test, and they will not be the ones who buy.
The result has to be useful
“You scored 7 out of 10” is not a result. The result is what that means and what to do next. Otherwise, people close the tab and forget.
