How it works
A custom mirror costs different amounts depending on its shape, size and what goes around it: a frame, a beveled edge, lighting. A three-line price list can't convey that, and the “what size, what frame” back-and-forth eats up half the craftsman's time. The quiz breaks it into steps and puts the order together on its own.
Shape is the first and most important question: rectangular, oval and round are priced as standard, while for a custom shape the template asks for a sketch. The sketch is needed because phrases like “wavy, but not too wavy” mean nothing. Next come the mirror type (classic, tinted, antique) and the frame: wood, metal or frameless.
Options are a separate step: a stand, front lighting, perimeter lighting, a beveled edge. These are what really raise the order value, and clients enjoy thinking about them when they see the pictures. Width and height are set with two sliders, and you can multiply them in the formula to get the area. The estimate is preliminary; the craftsman gives the exact price after the sketch is approved.
