How it works
A custom T-shirt is a set of decisions: who it's for, what fit, what fabric, what color, what design, and whether there's a print on the front and the back. The template walks through them in order, and most steps are picked from images. Fabric is asked by content (cotton, blend, with spandex, polyester), which right away shows what price to expect.
The print is the main cost driver, and the template asks about the front and back separately, requesting a file and the text for each print. Artwork arrives with the lead, so you don't have to chase it later. A heads-up: the template is long, 13 questions. The file questions should only appear for people who chose a print, and that's set up with branching; make sure it's on, or clients without a print will scroll through steps they don't need.
A rule worth putting in your terms: the client is responsible for the rights to the image. Prints with other companies' logos, characters and brands are a common problem for print shops, and it's better to warn people before payment than to turn down the order afterward. The estimate stays preliminary: print cost depends on design complexity and the number of colors. The template's promo code for a second order drives repeat sales.
