How it works
Knit fabrics differ in ways a beginner can't sort out: interlock, brushed French terry, single jersey, lining knit. Asking “which fabric do you need” is pointless. The quiz starts from the project: what the fabric is for (clothing, crafts or home textiles) and what's being sewn: kids' clothes, turtlenecks, pajamas, tank tops. Based on those answers, you suggest the fabric instead of making the client choose between names they don't understand.
Yardage is set with a slider, and it's the most reliable part of the calculation, because clients usually know well how much fabric they'll need. The question about the key property (natural, lightweight, stretchy, durable) moves the conversation to fiber content and shows where you can offer a blend instead of pure cotton.
There's one important rule here: the fiber content description must match the label and the certificate exactly. “100% cotton” is a verifiable claim, and the wrong content leads to complaints. Color, print and shipping are separate blocks in the template; for wholesale orders, add a minimum order, and be honest in the result that a sales rep confirms the total based on stock.
