How it works
An EV charger is chosen based on three things: where it will be installed, what connector the car has and how fast it needs to charge. The template asks exactly that. The first question is who is installing it and where: a house or vacation home, parking in an apartment building, a hotel or cafe, an office, a fleet or taxi company, a residential complex. These are six different clients with different approvals, different electrical setups and different budgets, and your sales rep sees which one it is right in the lead.
The client picks the connector (Type 2, CCS Combo 2, GB/T or CHAdeMO) from a picture, and that protects against a costly mistake: buying a charger with the wrong connector is easier than it seems. In North America, swap the list for the standards used there, such as J1772, CCS1 and NACS. Speed is asked in everyday terms: overnight charging, balanced mode, fast in 2–3 hours, ultra-fast in 20–40 minutes. It determines the charger's power and the requirements for the electrical service.
An honest caveat: the quiz doesn't know how much power is available at the property. An apartment building needs approval from building management or the HOA, and a business needs a load calculation. That's why the result should say “we'll pick a charger and check whether it can be connected,” not “we'll install it anywhere.” The installation checklist from the template is a good bonus: it answers the typical questions. Options like vandal protection and load balancing are a ready-made upsell.
