How it works
A salon's price list for color is almost always made of "starting at" and notes about hair length and thickness, so the client ends up asking by direct message. The quote calculator answers that question on its own: the client picks the service, then its type (single-process color, full bleach, highlights, ombre or balayage, fashion colors), marks whether they need toning after lightening and picks a treatment: hydration, reconstruction, hair botox, keratin.
The template is missing one question, and it's worth adding right away: hair length for coloring. Right now, length is only asked for haircuts, and for color it's exactly what determines how much dye is used and how much of the stylist's time it takes. Without it, the estimate is too rough, and the gap with the final price at the salon causes frustration.
Complex techniques like balayage are best priced as a range, with a note that the stylist will give the exact price after a consultation: a lot depends on the starting color. A good addition to the template is picking a date and time for the visit: the client sees the price and books right away, and the front desk confirms the slot.
