How it works
People choosing a laptop rarely think in specs. They don't know how many gigabytes of RAM they need, but they do know the laptop is for their kid's schoolwork, or that they'll edit video on it. The quiz is built exactly that way: the first question is about tasks: school and office, entertainment, gaming, professional design and programming.
Then come three questions that narrow the choice down to specific models: the operating system, the battery life they need and the storage capacity. The shopper can think through each of these on their own, unlike the processor or the graphics card, and together they give a good enough range. At the end, it makes sense to show not one model but a shortlist of two or three, with brief notes on how they differ.
In retail, the quiz also takes load off your sales staff: shoppers answer the usual questions themselves, and the conversation starts with specific options already on the table. That also makes it a good fit for social media and ads: the shortlist feels like help, not a request form. The completion bonus in the template is a discount on device cleaning products: a small but fitting gift that doesn't take away from the main purchase.
