How it works
Custom builds are ordered by people who don't want to deal with chipsets. But they know exactly what they want the computer for: gaming, streaming, video editing or office work. The template starts right there, then narrows down how demanding the games are and how much multitasking matters: with these answers the configuration is more accurate than with the question "what's your budget".
The questions about extra memory and VR are about future-proofing, and they do double duty: customers think about something they hadn't planned, and you get a reason to suggest a pricier configuration, backed by arguments. The peripherals at the end (mouse, keyboard, headset, gamepad, monitor) raise the order value exactly where people usually forget to ask.
Building a PC is a niche with a long decision cycle and a high cost of mistakes, so in the result it's more useful to show not a single "ideal build" but two or three at different prices, with an explanation of what the extra money buys. And say honestly that a technician confirms the final configuration: parts availability changes and a person checks compatibility.
