How it works

You can't price a music video with a “this much per minute” formula: the budget is built from the crew, the gear, the number of shoot days and post-production. A musician who wants something “high-end, but cheap” is better off seeing that breakdown once. The quiz does exactly that: first the crew (producer, director, gaffer, costume designer, makeup artist, stylist), then the gear (camera, lighting, haze, crane), then the shoot days.

A shoot day in the template is twelve hours, set with a slider. It's the biggest multiplier in the budget, and when the client moves the slider and watches the total grow, the money conversation becomes honest. The template splits post-production into editing, color, sound and music, and that last one deserves a closer look.

The music question isn't about price, it's about rights. Using someone else's track without a license is copyright infringement, and an honest studio says so up front: either you license the track or you get original music written. In the quiz, show these options side by side with a short note that the license is a separate expense. The budget stays preliminary: the director finalizes the scope after discussing the concept.

With this template you can make a quiz in LeadForms: change the questions, images and offer for your business in about 10 minutes, no developer needed.

FAQ
In the template, the number of 12-hour shoot days is multiplied by a day rate, then crew, gear and post-production are added. The client describes the concept in a separate block. You adjust the rates to your price list in the “Results” step.
The template is free. You only pay for leads: 20 free leads when you sign up, no expiration, then from $0.20 per lead or unlimited from $19/month.
The number of days comes from the slider and is multiplied by the day rate, while crew, gear and post-production are added to the formula as separate line items.
Show track licensing and original music side by side, and say honestly that the license is a separate expense. Using someone else's track without one is copyright infringement.
Yes. When clients see the budget breakdown themselves, some leads drop off at that stage, and the rest come in with clear expectations.
