How it works
Braces are an expensive, long-term decision, and people think it over for a long time before booking a consultation. What holds them back is uncertainty: how much it costs, how long it takes, which system they need. The quiz removes some of those doubts in advance: the patient's age, how severe the bite issue is, which system they're interested in (metal, ceramic, sapphire), one arch or both.
The bite question includes the option "I can't tell, I'd like a specialist to assess it". Keep it: patients aren't expected to know the types of malocclusion, and without that option some people simply close the quiz. For the practice, that answer means one thing: a consultation is needed, and that's exactly what the quiz books.
The price in the result can only honestly be given as a range based on the system and number of arches, with a note that the orthodontist sets the exact plan and timeline after diagnosis. You can't promise a specific timeline or result: it depends on the patient. The question about a professional cleaning before placement helps with scheduling: it's a separate visit that's best booked right away.
