How it works
A mattress is a rare, long-term purchase, so the fear of choosing wrong is real. The shopper doesn't know whether they need soft or firm, and the salesperson has to figure it out by asking questions. The quiz takes that on: who it's for (an adult, a child, a teen, an older person), why they're replacing it (the old one sagged, allergies started, their back hurts after sleeping), age, how many people will sleep on it and how much each of them weighs.
Weight is the main factor for firmness, and the template asks for it in ranges, from light to heavy. For couples, there's a separate question about the partner's weight, and it's an important detail: you can't pick an “in-between” mattress for two people with very different weights. Then come the firmness preference and the bed size, and the result shows specific models with prices.
The wording here needs care. Orthopedic mattresses are often advertised as therapeutic, but you can't promise relief from back pain or any healing effect: that's a medical claim. The honest pitch is “we'll match a mattress to your weight and preferences”, and for back pain it's best to recommend seeing a doctor. The template's discount gives people a reason to make a decision they usually put off.
