How it works
A party is the sum of several vendors' work: the venue, the kitchen, the decorator, the entertainer. An overall "everything was fine" doesn't tell you whom to keep and whom to replace. That's why the survey splits the impression into parts: organization, menu and service, venue, decor, entertainment program. Scale ratings are easy to compare across events, and after a few parties it's clear which vendor always drags the score down.
A separate block covers the planning itself: whether there were difficulties, whether the client's requests were misunderstood, whether attention to detail was lacking, whether responses were slow, whether the process was unclear. This rates the agency, not the vendors. Clients rarely say it out loud, but it's exactly what decides whether they come back to you for their next party.
The last question, which additional services they'd like to see, works for future sales. Clients tell you themselves what they missed: a photographer, guest transportation, kids' entertainment. Send the survey one or two days after the party: emotions have settled, but the details are still fresh.
