How it works
In appliance repair, "how much will it cost" makes no sense before diagnosis, but people ask anyway. The quiz moves the conversation onto clear ground: first, which appliance broke (washer, fridge, range, dishwasher), then the symptoms. Not "what broke" but "what's happening": it won't drain, it won't cool, it's making noise. Clients can answer that, and from the symptom an experienced tech can already estimate the part and the price.
The question about the brand tier (budget, premium, luxury) isn't there to sort clients but to plan parts: lead times and part costs can differ several times over, and promising the same price for every brand isn't honest. The "I don't remember the brand" option is there on purpose, so nobody gets stuck on that step.
Then come urgency and choosing a visit date. That's what sets this business apart: the person has a puddle on the floor or a fridge that's thawing, and they'll pick whoever can come today. The separate "I want to know the price first" option is useful too: it honestly separates people still comparing from those who need a tech right now. The address comes last: it shows right away whether the job is in your service area.
